| We have so much talent in our network and we'd like to give visual artists a chance to showcase their work in our monthly e-newsletter through a Visual Artist Showcase. This is an opportunity for exceptional visual artists to show, promote and hopefully sell their work. Selection for the Visual Artist Showcase is based on artistic excellence and you must be able to provide us with access to a website and/or professional photography of your work. We also ask that you donate a portion of proceeds generated either to support A4AC programs, or to a charity near and dear to your heart. If you are interested in being a featured artist in our Visual Artist Showcase please email info@a4ac.org. Back to top | ||

| Jackie Robbins, a clinical musician with tremendous experience and ability, is very actively working in our Therapeutic Arts Program. She provides therapeutic music and support services for A4AC, specializing in the cello for certified bedside clinical musical services, and group and memory care sessions. Since February, Jackie has performed nine sessions at Hospice and other medical facilities. Here is a note from Jackie about one of these experiences: "I decided to go to Treasure Coast Hospice Care in Stuart and play in the lobby for people. It was a very active day at the Harper House. And I saw a lot of people wearily sharing poignant family conversations. I started playing lovely themes from around the world and soon heads had started popping out of rooms all over the 16 bed facility. One daughter walked over and said can you play 'you are my sunshine?' I broke into it right in the middle of the famous theme from a piano Concerto by Tchaikovsky. Several minutes later she walked back to me and asked if I could play any 'patriotic songs' for her dad who didn't have very long to live.
I played page after page from the treasure trove of patriotic and homemade American tunes that I now know are available for me to insert into my repertoire, enhancing the arrangements I already have available." | ||
