Fourth Annual Singing with the Stars to benefit Artists for a Cause

Do you have the talent and desire to sing a duet on stage, and the motivation ability to raise money to support the arts? If you do, then Artists for a Cause (A4AC) encourages you to submit your application to participate in its fourth annual Singing with the Stars fundraising event! Money raised will help the non-profit A4AC fulfill its mission of supporting artists who serve community needs. Eight exceptional individuals will be selected and paired with professional singers from the A4AC Network. Each duo will train and compete live before a panel of judges at StarStruck Theatre on Friday, March 24 at 7:00 p.m. Winners of the competition are determined by a combination of talent and fundraising.

While last year’s event raised over $40,000 for Artists for a Cause, Singing with the Stars is more than a fundraising event. It also serves as a catalyst for connecting new audiences to Artists for a Cause and its many programs.

“Artists for a Cause was created out of my passion to use the arts to help others. It’s incredibly fulfilling to watch others as they become inspired by the mission and support our work,” said Terry Barber, Artists for a Cause founder and executive director. “As an example, some of the cast members of last year’s event became such big fans of our organization and the impact of our programs, they formed a group that now travels to assisted living facilities as part of A4AC’s Therapeutic Arts Program. They perform for and bring joy to the elderly residents who can no longer travel and easily attend a cultural event on their own.”

Past winners include: David Dew, Shaun Kelly, Leslie Levy, Susie McAllister, Donna Roselli, Michael Terrio and Linda Weiksnar.
