This year we have already seen amazing, inspiring, moving professional performances from the dancers and have raised more than 2,500 pounds of food already. We hope you've enjoyed the preshow music by gifted young artists from our network. We are so proud of these performers who have used their talent to stop hunger.
The “Grand Unveiling” party in St. Louis on Oct. 20 was a huge success! More than 100 people attended to hear about the innovative programs of our organization - which not only support artists and culture, but also target a critical community need. Attendees were treated to a special performance by some of the best artists in the St. Louis A4AC network, including classical guitarist Patrick Rafferty, violin and violist, Amy Greenhalgh, international countertenor and A4AC founder, Terry Barber, and two of the organization’s most gifted student talents, Arielle Pedersen and Olivia Bosaw(photogpraphed above with an Emmy HEC-TV received for the show featuring A4AC). Attendees enjoyed a special appearance by Wes Smith, teacher advisor for the organization’s first school club in greater St. Louis at Grand Center Arts Academy, and his advanced a cappella group. (
Among those who attended were arts champions Nancy and Ken Kranzberg, responsible for the development of the .ZACK Arts Incubator (where not only A4AC will have its office, but also collabortive opportunity with 8 other arts nonprofits) as well as alderwoman Marlene Davis, and Grand Center Inc. Executive Director, Karin Hagaman. A4AC wants to thank Terrance and Patricia Barber and Alison and Steve Clark for special support of the event which helped A4AC to exceed their fundraising goal. 
Valerie Lally is the new therapeutic watercolor educator serving both Grand Oaks locations in Jensen and the new location in Palm City. Esther Churchey, activities director explained “She’s a very nice lady and a perfect fit to help our residents.” As a past registered nurse, Valerie is ideal to provide healing, soothing lessons for the elderly. She shares “I worked with three residents on October 25, each with different skill and cognitive levels”.
