10000 SW Bulldog Way, Stuart  This year we have already seen amazing, inspiring, moving professional performances from the dancers and have raised more than 2,500 pounds of food already. We hope you've enjoyed the preshow music by gifted young artists from our network. We are so proud of these performers who have used their talent to stop hunger.(Photo Credit: James Crocco)The last two events will feature Terry Barber singing a piece from Hamilton, accompanied by dancers from Preston Contemporary Dance Theater. Dance for Food, brings the dancer community and audiences together to collect food for the hungry. Artistically directed by Anna Preston, the annual Dance for Food events convene many of Florida’s finest contemporary dancers to showcase their talents to an audience whose only admission fee is a bag of unexpired, nonperishable goods. This year the Farmworker Coordinating Counsel, Kane Center Emergency Pantry, Mustard Seed Ministries and House of Hope have partnered with A4AC to get the food to those in the community who need it most.  The “Grand Unveiling” party in St. Louis on Oct. 20 was a huge success! More than 100 people attended to hear about the innovative programs of our organization - which not only support artists and culture, but also target a critical community need. Attendees were treated to a special performance by some of the best artists in the St. Louis A4AC network, including classical guitarist Patrick Rafferty, violin and violist, Amy Greenhalgh, international countertenor and A4AC founder, Terry Barber, and two of the organization’s most gifted student talents, Arielle Pedersen and Olivia Bosaw(photogpraphed above with an Emmy HEC-TV received for the show featuring A4AC). Attendees enjoyed a special appearance by Wes Smith, teacher advisor for the organization’s first school club in greater St. Louis at Grand Center Arts Academy, and his advanced a cappella group. Executive Director, Karin Hagaman. A4AC wants to thank Terrance and Patricia Barber and Alison and Steve Clark for special support of the event which helped A4AC to exceed their fundraising goal. Grammy Nominations!!  A4AC founder and countertenor Terry Barber, teamed up with seventeen time Grammy-winning “Classical Producer of the Year” Steven Epstein last year to record Christmas Presence, a collection of unique arrangements of the world’s most beloved holiday music, which is now being considered for six Grammy nominations. Click the Photo to hear the album. Erich Schuett, a boy soprano, was an active member in the A4AC network. Terry quickly recognized Erich’s unusual talent and invited him to join one of his own professional national tour programs. He continued to guide and mentor Schuett, who had a leading role in a Broadway tour and toured Italy performing opera. Recently, Terry gave Erich the opportunity to record the unique duet “Christmas Lullaby” on the Christmas Presence album at NYC Avatar Studios. Schuett’s career has continued to blossom, including his recent appearance singing on Harry Connick Jr’s television show.“My professional career and my work with A4AC are both rewarding in different ways,” said Terry. “Through A4AC I’m able to use my talents to help others, and also help the other registered artists in our network to do the same. Therapeutic Arts Update Valerie Lally is the new therapeutic watercolor educator serving both Grand Oaks locations in Jensen and the new location in Palm City. Esther Churchey, activities director explained “She’s a very nice lady and a perfect fit to help our residents.” As a past registered nurse, Valerie is ideal to provide healing, soothing lessons for the elderly. She shares “I worked with three residents on October 25, each with different skill and cognitive levels”.Oct. 23, Mary Murphy and Laurie Carr entertained at Grand Oaks, sharing light classical and musical theater repertoire. “Everyone loved it and agreed that it was fantastic.” Ginger Carslake continues to serve the memory care patients at Lynmoore Lawnwood facility in Ft. Pierce, where she is very well received and appreciated. She is adding outreach to Jensen Dunes this month. November 2, Jackie Robbins (Clinical Musician) was the first A4AC artist to serve the new Grand Oaks facility in Palm City. “She was AWESOME. The residents loved her, and we can’t wait to have her back for Memory Care,” Heather Morris, activities director exclaimed.
