Hello: My name is Chris Mac Neill, I'm 72 years old living in Las Vegas and I’ve been a “personal appearance” agent and promoter for 50 years and I still love what I do and don’t plan to stop anytime soon! I've been working out of my home for the last 25 years and that's very comforting to me and my family now during this virus pandemic. The good news is that "live" entertainment is and always has been something people crave to help forget whatever strife they're dealing with. And it will be so again! I'm looking to train / teach a class of no more than 6 people by offering 4 (2) hour training sessions on Free Conference Call.com during the course of a week. Limiting the class to just 6 people will allow us a more intimate teaching environment so we can ask questions and exchange ideas. Sessions start in May on Mon.-Thurs. 6-8 pm PST. (Stay tuned for exact dates) Sessions: My training sessions will cover in detail what it takes to manage, book, market and promote Jay Leno, Jerry Seinfeld or Def Comedy Jam from their early beginnings in clubs, to concert touring and eventually their own network TV shows. You'll learn and understand the job description of every person involved in a booking. I was the "PA" agent (personal appearance) for Jay for 10 years and Jerry for 7 when they 1st started out in the business and was fortunate enough to help groom and watch them grow through the years from selling out comedy clubs by the week, to booking small theater concerts to eventually 3000 seat amphitheaters. I personally booked "every" concert date for Def Comedy Jam for their 1st 2 1/2 years of touring and promoted dates myself.-Scroll down to read my "Entertainment Work Bio" Proud of my "alumni'. During my time as an agent / promoter I've trained and worked with some of the best talent agents in the business. If you're already in the entertainment business you might be familiar with some of my alumni that started their career working as my intern: JP Williams Producer and creator of "Blue Collar" Comedy touring, TV & records. and managed names like Ron White, Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, & Jeff Foxworthy Steve Levine an ICM partner, and head of all PA agents and "still" one of the hardest working agents I know. COST: The cost for this class of 6 people is $300.00 per person and I'd suggest you tape the conference calls so you can listen to them over and over. However 4 (2) hour sessions won't teach you all you need to know. That will come with "trial & error" and the amount of time and energy you're willing to invest. But whenever you need advice or help I'm just a phone call away and there's "no charge" for advice or help.
